Hi Ana & Bonnie:

I have been on ORLAAM for approx. 9 months. I was on methadone for 4 months before that. I have used heroin for 25 years. My husband and I travel close to 60 miles 3 times per week. The main reason we changed from methadone to Orlaam was because of the distance. It has been a very positive experience for both of us, neither my husband or myself has been sick at all. My husband even took a job working in Berkeley for 4 days! He was very worried that the dose would not hold him, the doctor wasn't even sure, the dose was increased....but it did hold him!! On Mon.& Wed. I take 85 mls and on Friday my dose is increased to 115 mls. It really has worked for us. I have never had any signs of withdrawal, EVER. Neither has my other half and he takes less than I do, even though I'm only 5'2 and weigh 130 lbs. and he is 6'5 and weighs 195 lbs.

It is also impossible to override it with dope, so it REALLY does do its job!! We actually had a hard time giving clean urines on methadone but with ORLAAM we've been able to STAY clean. My only side effects had been constipation, diminished sex drive, and lethargy but I have since taken my dose down from 115 mls to 85 mls. and the side effects have subsided somewhat.

So I'm here to say IT WORKS!! Don't be afraid; to me its a miracle drug!!! Thank God, for the first time in my life I've actually been able to get clean, stay clean, and change my life for the good.
