Well, its been a couple of months since you posted that plea; I wonder if you got that support you cried out for? If not, know that methadone can and does help end the incessant cycle of slavery that heroin addiction reduces you to. Its not fun. Breaking free isn't a game. But if you want it, and need it, here in NYC its available to you. I have been on for a year and a half; have no arrests, haven't been sick, am working and feel generally free of the sick 'cycle'. Its not glamorous nor maudlin. Its just like going to the doctors' office. You might want to be somewhere else, but its great to know its there when you need it.
